( i know... the engine is mounted a bit too high on the chassis and the supercharger a bit too small. but i didnt look that up before.)

I do not think the engine sits too high because the chassis is so low. Do you want that oil pan to smack up against the ground? If you are going to invent rods like this, then i think you want to mack them fun...and that is what yours is. If you really want to get realistic about it, then get some old Rod & Custom magazines from ebay. But what you have is fine. I think the idea here is exaggeration...like with the supercharger. Yes, it could be bigger. One can argue that the grill (and the radiator behind it) is too small...that it could never keep that big block cool...but if it is only for the quarter mile, then you could get away with it. A lot of people criticized Bid Daddy Roth, his designs were too far out to be real, but most people loved them just for that reason. In the end, go with what you think is entertaining for you...then exaggerate a little!

you made some good points. maybe i already had in mind what you´re writing about exaggerating. having a look a look at my pre-drawings shows that they were even more mad. crazy wheel angels a.s.o., ill put them online under drafts.
that could be a result of NOT lookin up in magazines or on the net. i just said to myself: let´s do a fierce hot rod... and i did ^^. maybe exaggeration oder idealization is a result of workin completely in you imagination. i´ll watch myself next time iam workin that way.

and btw, thx for your critic. it´s hard to find people on deviant who spend more the a few secs on somebody´s work.

Another stunning piece,
you're so talented.
I think maybe the left-hand wheel looks slightly tilted,
But I didn't notice at first glance whatsoever.
I love the wheels tho, the ridges look so 3D- as does the whole pic really.
The wires look great as well, andthe top thing they're connected to,
the highlight is just perfect.
